The following is an e-mail The Broadway Beat editorial team received from our project manager at 4:47pm on a Friday:
Hello team,
I hope this email finds you well.
As Q4 comes to an end, I wanted to circle back on the whole "The Shark is Broken" situation.
As you know, the Shark being operational is a crucial asset to our shareholders, so any color you could shed on the current condition would be a great benefit to the team.
Before we reach the end of the year, I want to ensure we are giving 110% on this!
During our last check-in, we touched base with our team members Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider (CC’d above), who brainstormed some exciting, innovative deliverables that can be managed concurrently while we deal with this learning opportunity. Great teamwork!
While I give kudos to this, as a project manager, I feel the need to check on the progress of this overall situation. If I could, I’d jump into action and help, but I do not have a lot of bandwidth at the moment. Along with this Shark project, I am constantly putting out fires from The Play That Goes Wrong and ensuring Vladimir and Estragon accurately bill their hours while waiting for Gadot.
In the same vein, we have heard your requests. While we can see the hours you are putting in, we have decided against overtime pay. However, we have a pizza party planned once we have closed the book on this, and the Shark is no longer broken.
Overall, and looping back to the issue at hand, I want to ensure everyone is kept in the loop as we work to close the loop and avoid a feedback loop of looping in additional loops for this loop we are currently looped in on.
Also…no more work from home.
Happy FriYAY,
Frank McMullis, PMP, CAPM, SOB
