SQUID GAME Season Two to Feature Zip Zap Zop

BURBANK, Ca. - With Squid Game season two out now, show creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has revealed that one of the many games the characters will have to survive will be the classic theatre game "Zip Zap Zop."

"I saw the actors playing it while shooting last season," said Dong-hyuk with an evil grimace on his face. "So naturally I thought,'What if they were forced play with the cold steel of a pistol pressed against their temple?’ I think it's really gonna blow people’s minds," he said, eyes widening.

Actor Lee Jung-jae, who plays protagonist Seong Gi-hun, had this to say while looking fearfully over his shoulder.

"Me and the cast were just trying to pass the time between takes, but Hwang would just stare at us from the corner and take notes. I said 'Zap' instead of 'Zip' one time and I heard him make a gunshot noise with his mouth, then snicker for an unusual amount of time."

Later, another source, who was just Jung-Jae with red hair, elaborated further while playing Ninja with sharpened kitchen knives.

"Zip Zap Zop wasn't even the worst of it. He’s now rewritten the entirety of season two around high school theatre games, turning each one into a murderous Jigsaw hellscape. If you lose the Question game, you get shot in the face. If you mess up the order in The Picnic Game, you just get beaten to death by a group of Triangles. He’s currently workshopping a version of Peel Banana where acid falls on the losers. I don’t even think you can lose at that game.”

After laughing for seven uninterrupted straight minutes, Dong-hyuk addressed a visibly scared actor.

"You didn’t go bananas enough, so now the acid falls on you! Your skin is dissolving, and your eyes are melting in flame-broiled agony! Isn’t this fucking EXHILARATING!!?” 

No one else was available for press because production was preoccupied reciting Grip Top Sock over bear traps.
